This article speaks of how Anzaldua needed to learn English without having an accent.   Nearly every person coming to the United States from any other country has some kind of accent.   I do not see why it was important to have their accent corrected once they are in the States, since eventually they will learn English without having an accent.   This article also relates to how people speak. How it is not proper to say certain phrases. This is a diverse country and different cultures have different manners of speaking. Same goes to the people who have English as their first language. Since Puerto Ricans are American citizens, it wass easier for them to move to the United States than any other Latin culture in the world.   Andrea Gonzalez Ramirez explains how they also had to go through “immigrant experiences”. They had to struggle with language barriers and other changes in their “new world”.   Ramirez made a blog about the interviews she took of Puerto Ricans who immigrated to the United States.                         Latinas have always had a tougher time with their body image in comparison to other women. Being a Latina varies in thier appearance. Some are light skin, dark skin, fair skin, long, light, dark, kinky, curly or straight hair. Some are skinny and no curves, as others are shapely. Some have a shapely buttocks while others do not.   This is in comparison to Caucasian women or Asian women or others of different ethnicities who each have very similar features within their country.   Therefore, Latinas must prove themselves more than other women of different ethnicities.                 Different ethnicities have different cultures and also have a certain perception of their body image.
